There must be something wrong if you can’t have your long-needed break during this summer time when just about everybody’s on vacation. There must be something wrong if you can’t beat deadlines long imposed on you when in fact you are working 24/7 just to beat the deadliest of these deadlines. There must be something wrong if you can’t even scribble or compose what you’re supposed to write eventhough your mind is heavily saturated with every bits and pieces, with thoughts and tons of information. There must be something wrong if you’re now talking to your cats and dogs asking how their day was and, in turn, telling them how’s yours. Indeed, there must be something wrong…

Now it can be told. Finally, after seven grueling but exciting games which were played at a frenetic pace, the Sta. Lucia Realtors were finally crowned the PBA All-Filipino champs for just their very first time in franchise history last March 2. Dennis Espino was at his finest form that bagged him the well-deserved Finals MVP plum. Kudos to the Captain and to the rest of the crew: Kelly Williams, Ryan Reyes, Bitoy Omolon, Denok Miranda, Marlou Aquino, Paulo Mendoza, and Joseph Yeo. It was indeed job well done for Coach Boyet Fernandez and his boys. For the Purefoods Giants, you had your chances. Better luck next time though for James Yap and company…
To all ‘Believers’, always believe! Celebrate and party! Ha ha ha! See you next conference. Another war begins…

Last February 15-18 was our Banaue-Bontoc-Sagada field trip for my History class. Again, I had to endure that long climb, the treacherous trek to Sagada, then back again to Bontoc. Stress was at its peak when I found myself at the Emergency Room at a Sagada hospital that night of February 16 – not me, but a student. Was back in Manila again, February 18, 4 am. My class started at 10 am that very same day…
Had another talk at Laurel High School in Tondo last February 20, 9 am. Had a meeting, 12 noon, in our office that day to decide on some important matters. Matter of life and death for some, matter of destiny for others…
Last February 22, I was back in Mindanao’s arms. I have a 7 am flight to GenSan en route to Koronadal City (one-hour land trip). It was my first time in Koronadal so I was quite excited. Fortunately, the Abu Sayyaf’s didn’t snatch me along the way. Or better yet they could just help me finish all my work here in Manila and beat some deadlines. I need ten Abu Sayyaf’s right now just to finish everything. Was back in Manila on February 24, 10 am. Again, reality check. Tons of work, let’s beat some deadlines…
February 25 was made a holiday, finally. Used the time wisely… The month, finally over. Vicious cycle this March…
